Telling stories…

It’s known that every quilt tells a story…

When I heard about this quilt idea I got interested right away, I knew I wanted to make it too.

I searched for more information and found these blogs here, here, here, and here. That was exactly what I was looking for! Flying Geese is one of my favorite blocks, there’s something about triangles that fascinate me. Instead of a wall hanging ( my first thought)  I’m making a quilt.

Here are the first three weeks of January:

The first rows show the unusual temperature we’re having at this time of the year…

These shades of light green and blue are my selection for temperatures between -2°C to 8°C.

This quilt is going to document the climate change we’re experiecing at my corner of the world, a unique legacy.

Back to the red bundle blocks…

In my stash I found some fabrics that go along well with the ones from the bundle, mixing them is fun!

A lovely scrappy look with various blocks:

Using every little piece…

I particularly like this Star in a star block:

Which stories are you telling?

Wishing you a lovely and creative week!

The Temperature Quilt is a nice idea. Good luck! What fun you are having with your red blocks. Such a warm cosy colour! I like your star within a star block too. I think stars are my fav type of block as there is a lot of variation. French General had some gorgeous red and cream fabrics. Good luck!
