New ideas

Again and again,

scrap quilts always

get my attention,

the colors, the fabrics,

beautiful, joyful,lovely.

I saw this one in Australian Homespun No.128,

A nice way of using remnants to “make” your own pieces of fabric and

then cut them into parallelograms:

Interesting, isn’t it?

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Scraps quilts command attention, don't they? When I first looked I saw string blocks on point. The construction is interesting and eye catching.

Just my kind of a project as I happen to have some scraps in my sewing room.

I’m always almost in awe over scrap quilts, but never managed to make one really!

Yes totally agree Suzie. I am looking at scrap projects at the moment (among the 1001 ideas LOL). I love the vivid colours in this one. I can see it working well with Kaffe style patterns and solid coloured scraps.

What an interesting and lovely way to use scraps. My boxes are full of them and screaming for a project. I think I'll finally have a go....at least for a little baby quilt.

I can see this as an open SAL over the year, making blocks with the scraps we make over the year.
