On my “design floor”

Most quilters have a design wall,

but what do you do when your design wall is small

and pieces of a PIP are still hanging there?…

You use your design floor, right?

These are the first blocks for a Stained Colorful Quilt.

I saw many of these quilts, they are cheerful, bold,

and scrappy ;o)))

I saw this one Susan made and she was so kind to help me with the instructions.

There’s a lot of cutting so I had to pieced at a low pace in order not to injure my shoulder and neck. Besides, I had many other projects to finish, gifts to make, meetings, etc…I guess you know how that is!

Only this week I started sewing the white sashings

and I love the blocks!

Thank you Susan for helping me!

From this,

to this,

a beautiful Amarillo!

A gift from a dear friend.

Wishing you a  lovely and cozy weekend!

Sewing together again

Some years ago my friend’s daughter asked me if I would teach her how to sew.

I first showed her the English Paper Piecing way and she did it very well.

Months later she spent some days here and we made some little lovely things like little bags and a pouch, pincushion, needle case. She was very happy and I was too, it was a pleasure to see such a talented young lady!

And she is ambitious, she wants to learn more – I know she is going to be a quilter!

How lovely she could come again!

The day before she came I baked cinnamon rolls, she loves it -

and me, too! ;o)))

A cup of tea,

a couple of those and,

we’re ready to sew the next piece!

Here are some of the things she made.

This little pouch was on top of her list!

It’s from the book Zakka Style: 24 projects

She is a cupcake lover,too!

And an owl fan…

I hope you can come again…

Wishing you a  lovely

and creative week!
