This year, for the first time, I joined the Blogger’s Quilt Festival organized by Amy.
I’ve always enjoyed this fun event where you get to see and admire the beautiful quilts and the quilters.
Can you imagine how happy I was to read I had won one of the prizes?
A wonderful package of Hand Dyed Fabrics from Vicki Welsh!
It arrived this week, I love it.
Thanks so much to Amy and the sponsors for such a wonderful event.
And it’s been getting colder. ..
So….
It’s time to knit new socks to keep my feet warm ;-))))
Another week that went by so fast!…
The First Advent is coming!
And that means baking and decorating, making, sewing, wrapping, sending. When this lovely, pretty busy time of the year begin, this is the song that comes to my mind:
MRS. SANTA CLAUS
(Fulton / Harple / Steele)
George Melachrino & His Orch. - 1954
Nat King Cole - 1956
Who feeds the reindeer all their hay
Who wraps the gifts and packs the sleigh
Who's helping Santa every day
Mrs. Santa Claus
Who keeps his red suit looking nice
Who does he turn to for advice
Who gives the brownies all their spice
Mrs. Santa Claus
She pitter-patters all around the workshop
The whole year long
Amid the happy clatter of the workshop
She sings a very merry Christmas song
Who reads the notes from girls and boys
Turns in the order for their toys
Who fills every wondrous heart with joys
Mrs. Santa Claus
Doesn’t that sound familiar to you?!

I have to go back to the sewing room, some sneak peak next time.
Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Congratulations on you win. Beautiful fabrics. Frost photos are so pretty. We're having our first hard freeze this morning and frost is everywhere. Those are going to be some very amazing socks.
Congratulations, I'm sure you will find the prefect project for those beautiful fabrics.
I can imagine you in those pretty red striped socks pitter-pattering in your kitchen and baking, sewing and knitting!
What a lovely win for you. I like how batiks are like stained glass windows- so much intense colour. I'm sre you will find the perfect project for them.
Ooo yes warm socks! It's definitely the right weather for them.
Your frosted leaves look so pretty. It is unseasonally warm here but very grey.
