A Valentine's Day Giveaway

I have a giveaway to celebrate Valentine's Day next week!
A heart pincushion/needle holder, a Tilda's bunny (Easter is coming!) and Tilda's ribbon. The chocolate is a surprise!

I made this pincushion so many times to give as gifts years ago. And as everybody knows, "The baker's child gets no bread", that means, I still have none!....
But this one is for you!
Fortunately I found the pattern I cut out of cardboard (in one of the last boxes...) because if I had to look through ALL the magazines I have, it would be Christmas already!!!

And what is special about this heart pincushion?
It has a needle-keeper so you can store your pins (on top) and your sewing needles like this:

I think it is sweet and practical and a lovely gift for a friend!
If you would like to win, leave a comment on this post and tell me if you can still remember your first Valentine's gift! I'll pick the winner on Wednesday 11th.

Until next time!
Happy sewing, quilting and crafting!

Your pincushion is so pretty! My first Valentines gift from my husband was daisies. He always gave me daisies while we were courting and to this day I still love them....and him.

My first Valentine's gift from a "sweetheart" and not just a friend actually came after Valentine's Day. The guy and I had started dating about a week after Valentine's Day, and I had made a comment that it was a bummer that we had missed Valentine's day, so the next week he sent me a bunch of little mini-books. (I love those things.)

What a lovely pin cushion, Suzie! And I love the needle holder around it. Wonder when you will have one of these ...

You pincushion is just lovely, what a wonderful idea. My first Valentine gift was a small spotted toy dog holding a red fabric rose in his mouth. But that was many years ago

My first valentine present was a little Garfield he has a little boxershort with hearts on it, I got it from my husband 21 years ago. I still have it.
I collect pincushion and I love yours, so please add my name.

Not only is the pincushion pretty it's clever too with a needle keeper. I do remember the first Valentine's gift my future husband gave me...one beautiful long stemmed red rose! We're still married (almost 27 years)

Very cute pincushion and needle keeper. Please add me to the drawing. Since I probably won't win, could you tell me where to buy the pattern? My first Valentine's gift was from my husband. He bought me an amethyst heart shaped ring. I still wear it!

Gosh Suzie, that is having to stretch the mind back a few years now. My first Valentine's gift...hmmm....coming home from work and finding the one and only rose out of our garden sitting in a milk bottle with a bow around the top. Cute and very thoughtful (to his wallet in those days!) Still love was new and I was impressed now I realise he is tight with his money but I still married him-lol.
Adore the pincushion etc, what a great idea.

Awww, what a sweet romantic pincushion. I love pink. I am making the Flea Market quilt from crazy mom quilts blog. Can't really remember the first Valentine's gift I ever got, guess it was too long ago :-)

Your pincushion is so cute and practical, too. Please add my name to the drawing. When I was in school, we had a huge box that was decorated for Valentines Day. It had a slit on the top and everyone put their Valentine cards inside until the 'party' towards the end of the school day.

Suzie - I love the pin cushion! I am ready for another box of goodies to come from your house to mine! Please sign me up!

Love the pincushion. Would love to win it. My very first Valentine's Day present was from my dad and I was probably 3 years old. When I was called to come in to supper, my dad had left a little Valentine Heart box of candy on my plate and a larger one on my mom's plate. He might have done it the year before but I don't remember, I was too young. But he did it every year until I married and left home. He was wonderful and I sure do miss him!

Such a cute giveaway!
My first valentine was from an ex boyfriend, he bought me half a dozen red roses and a gorgeous heartfelt card. He was a very romantic soul. :)

It's been 25 years since the first bouquet of flowers my husband gave me for Valentine's. And I still fell "guilty"! I came home from work that day all cranky & whiny 'cause all the ladies got special deliveries and I got nothing. So I hit the shower in our new tiny 3rd floor attic apt. And while I showered he walked down the street to the florist. He swears he was always going to go get flowers after work. And I'm really not a whiner. So we tease each other still :)

What a clever idea Suzie.. that needle keeper! Very cute too.

I have to confess.. I have no idea what my first Valentine gift was. I always just loved the cards we got in school.. and I think I had more fun making and giving mine than receiving them. Of course I always treasured the one I got from a cute boy I had a crush on. Especially if he actually wrote my name on it.

The pincushion is lovely! My first Valentine gift was from my 8th grade boyfriend- a small box of chocolates from the convenient store between his house and mine.

Very sweet Valentines heart Suzie!

Please don’t count me in for the draw... you have spoilt me so much already!

How very sweet and girly, whats not to love about it. My first valentine that I can remember was a pink crystal necklace from my first high school boyfriend.

What a cute pincushion! I know that my very first Valentine's gift was from my Daddy. It was one of those fancy heart-shaped boxes filled with chocolates. The chocolates were those awful ones with fruit fillings.

Oh wow, that pin cushion is just gorgeous! I would love to be entered in your giveaway and will cross my fingers that I win and get to have that as my very own. :)

I can't remember my first V-Day present, but I do remember my first from my husband -- 11 years ago. We had just started dating on January 4th, so it was super early in our relationship by the time February 14th rolled around, so awkward to know what to buy. He did well though. He got me a really sweet smelling perfume ... Anais Anais. I still think of that day anytime I wear that scent. :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Hia Suzie, that is a lovely design. You really need to make it for youself too. :-)

Hubby and I have racked one another's brains and can't think what his 1st Valentine gift was. His most memorable was a load of horse manure for my roses- the soil here is so light and sandy normally. :-)

Oh, this pin cushion is so cute, and I LOVE the needle keeper! So of course I have to enter the draw :o)

Hmmmm... first Valentine's gift... I'm not much of a Valentine's celebration person, and people around me know that, so I don't really get pressies on this day. But I think it was a chocolate heart awaiting me at my desk in high school - Sweeet ;o)

Just love your pincushion and since I make them for friends and collect them, would love to get the pattern. Can you tell me where I could find it? Got a little necklace for Valentine's Day in the 6th grade and still have it even though it is now 50 years later. Happy Valentine's Day.
